Accessibility Statement

  Last updated: 1 March 2026

1. Our Commitment

Compliance College is committed to ensuring that our platform is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that all learners deserve equal access to high-quality compliance and safety training.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard. These guidelines are published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and provide a framework for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we are continually working to improve the experience for all users. Our inclusive design philosophy means that accessibility considerations are embedded into every stage of our design and development process.

2. Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following accessibility features across our platform:

Semantic HTML and proper heading hierarchy
Full keyboard navigation support
Screen reader compatibility with ARIA labels
Colour contrast ratios meeting WCAG AA
Resizable text up to 200% without loss of content
Descriptive alt text on all images
Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
Skip navigation links for efficient browsing
Responsive design for all devices and screen sizes
Captions and transcripts for video content
Consistent and predictable page layouts
Clear error messages and form validation

3. Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, we are aware of the following limitations that we are actively working to address:

  • PDF resources — Some older PDF documents and downloadable resources may not be fully accessible. We are in the process of converting these to accessible formats and aim to complete this by Q3 2026
  • Legacy video content — A small number of older video modules are being re-captioned and updated with audio descriptions. This work is scheduled for completion by Q2 2026
  • Third-party embedded content — Some content from external providers (e.g., embedded forms or widgets) may not fully meet our accessibility standards. We work with our partners to improve these elements
  • Complex interactive assessments — Certain drag-and-drop assessment types are being redesigned with accessible alternatives for keyboard and screen reader users

We are committed to resolving these issues and welcome your feedback to help us prioritise improvements.

4. Assistive Technologies

Our platform has been tested with the following assistive technologies to ensure compatibility:

  • NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access) — Free screen reader for Windows
  • JAWS (Job Access With Speech) — Screen reader for Windows
  • VoiceOver — Built-in screen reader for macOS and iOS
  • TalkBack — Built-in screen reader for Android devices
  • Browser zoom — Tested at 200% and 400% zoom levels across major browsers
  • High contrast mode — Tested with Windows High Contrast and forced colours mode
  • Voice control — Tested with Dragon NaturallySpeaking and system voice control

We recommend using the latest versions of these tools along with up-to-date browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge) for the best experience.
